Our journey began in 2012, after years of experience in the steel building industry. We set out to make a real difference in the New Zealand cold-rolled steel (C-section portal frame) building sector, which had long been dominated by Australian-based shed companies using lightweight, often inferior systems, and in some cases, lower-quality foreign steel.
We believed we could offer New Zealanders something better—high-quality products at great prices, backed by forward-thinking innovation and a willingness to do things differently. After 18 months of hard work developing the systems needed to bring this vision to life, X Span officially launched in October 2014.
